Most of us are in joy that the new year has come around and January brings with it, a clean slate. With a fresh tone and pace to it. We plan goals we want to accomplish this year and the ones we want to begin taking action on at the start of January. “This mindset is fundamental. To create habits and stick to it. It helps us achieve what we want with consistency,” says Nikesh Patel, managing director of HRS Invictus. The most significant thing about resolutions is that they bring unity. We want to accomplish something, that passion came from somewhere which means we all have potential to reach great things.
However, some of us will end up being the ones that do not continue the resolution we sought out to finishing when March comes around. Studies and stats portray that 80% of individuals fall off track of their goals when March comes around of every year. “Why does this happen? Why can’t we stick to something for the whole year and continuously as a lifelong journey? This is because of mindset. When a person’s mindset is strong, they can be consistent and reach the goals they desire. But if the mindset doesn’t portray something as strong, then you will not accomplish your goals,” says Nikesh Patel of HRS Invictus.
The goal is to act like it’s January 1st every single month. That’s when our mindset is the strongest, and we become our most passionate about achieving something. “Carrying this mindset into every single month means that you are pushing yourself to reach goals. Having this mentality means you care about getting what you deserve and reaching your potential,” says Nikesh Patel of HRS Invictus. The greatest thing about humans is that we all have potential to be great at something we love, so why not work on that and reach it? That’s what the New Year helps us understand, and it should be like that every month.
